Welcome to Holy Trinity Monastery Center!

Welcome to Holy Trinity Monastery Center!

The property was founded in 1974 as a Benedictine Monastery in the Olivetan tradition.  Although the monastery was dissolved in 2017, we continue to provide an oasis of peace and tranquility.  Our 132 acres outside St. David, Arizona includes a 1.3 mile bird sanctuary trail along the San Pedro River.  The Center hosts group and private retreats, and offers facilities for classes, workshops, conferences and weddings.  Also on the property are an auditorium, an adobe chapel, a library, and a number of artesian-fed ponds.

Holy Trinity Monastery Center (HTMC) is a non-profit corporation in Arizona.

We are grateful for the combination of a beautiful chapel, trails for walking and meditation, comfortable lodging and delicious meals.

The Catholic Newman Center at the UofA has been bringing college students for many years to Holy Trinity Monastery and we are pleased to recommend it to other groups.  It’s a perfect distance from Tucson, not too close and not too far with all that is needed for a spirit-filled retreat atmosphere.  We are grateful for the combination of a beautiful chapel, trails for walking and meditation, comfortable lodging and delicious meals.  The Benedictine Community are gracious hosts and we always look forward to our time together, especially during meals, Mass and Liturgy of the Hours.  We also appreciate the flexibility that the site provides to accommodate any size of group.  The new library and the renovation of the previous cloister have made our experiences even better in the past year.  We highly recommend it for groups as well as personal retreats.

HTMC is beautiful, tranquil and offers many settings for contemplation and time alone with God.

Our ministry uses Holy Trinity Monastery (HTMC) exclusively for our retreats. Over the past fifteen years HTMC has proved to be an excellent and reasonably priced facility for retreats of eight to ten or thirty to forty. HTMC has a variety of sleeping arrangements and meeting rooms. There are also several options for meeting in small groups. HTMC is beautiful, tranquil and offers many settings for contemplation and time alone with God.

They serve quality meals and you will be well cared for by the HTMC staff and truly experience the hospitality of Christ. They have loved us well.

Glimpses of deer, hawks, and hummingbirds make every stroll a discovery.

The HTM Center RV park is in a secluded area of the grounds close to the walking paths and surrounded by wooded areas. There’s a constant menagerie of wildlife throughout the park including white-tailed deer, javelinas, wild turkeys, and the 20-plus beautiful peacocks who wander about the grounds. There is limited lighting in the RV park which facilitates amazing stargazing opportunities. Conveniently, in the RV the park, are well-lighted and well-kept community rooms, restrooms/showers, and laundry facilities. There is also a great little thrift stop that is always full of unique treasures.

Hospitality is a founding value of the HTM Center. This is reflected in the interactions with the people you will encounter here. If you are interested in doing volunteer work, there is always a task that needs to be done and is greatly appreciated. While in this special place, one cannot help but to de-stress, be present, and welcome all that this incredible place has to offer.
